All built-in data sources are implemented as connectors. Whenever they are used in combination with the other components of the dashboard, their purpose becomes clear without any further assumptions on the part of the user. You can create your own sources, with custom functionality to process data, by making calls to webdatarocks.amcharts.connectors. Data can be fetched asynchronously, in parallel, or in a deferred, synchronous fashion. Regardless of this choice, the order in which the data is received is preserved. By default, connectors receive data from a single source at a time. This can be changed by setting the source property of a data source to a number of different values. If you need to go beyond the defaults, consult the documentation of the source connector. In addition, keep in mind that loading all data from a single connector can add a certain amount of latency to your page. We added a method to adjust for the height of the labels of the category name. As mentioned earlier, this is a default behavior of amCharts. Adjust the value of adjustForLabelWidth to change the length of the captions of the charts.By default, it changes the size of the chart itself by the height of the category captions.

The second, and this is what amCharts 4 is all about, is building the data over time, as the viewer watches the animation. I already created, then filled in a shape. This shape is named path1, and the data for it is called data1. Its data are stored in an array in that same path object. The next step is to create a new path, path2, that is going to take the data from path1. What we do is transform the data to look the same as it does in path2. I try to be consistent and I try to be as elegant as possible so I tried to use built in values from amCharts settings to check if the property matches the property value of the settings string. I also tried to ensure that the values of chart are stored in chart for cross page loading. So the handlers should work on any of these charts without having to assign any additional code. If you check the amCharts documentation and examples for ChartType, you will notice that it only has a few different properties specified on the chart, url, colors and mode.
